Challenges facing your organisation
In many countries, reform programmes are acting as catalysts for
improving standards of public and private sector performance,
decentralisation of power and budgets, and greater flexibility in
managing resources. New ways of working are developing rapidly,
sometimes based on private sector practices, including the delivery of
public services by the private/non-government sector. This can lead to
the fragmentation of traditional values such as integrity, objectivity,
honesty and accountability.
A sound framework for change initiatives,
clearly setting out expected achievement at all levels and accompanied
by a comprehensive and clearly stated strategy for implementing the
change is therefore essential for all modern public and private sector
organisations.
Benefits of attending to you and your organisation
You will be able to:
Reflect on current standards of quality and output in their own organisations, and levels of customer satisfaction with the services they provide
Analyse current business systems and practice and compare them to the desired future state
Develop practical strategies for ensuring sustainable change
Enhance understanding of methods to establish and communicate core values and codes of conduct for all employees
Explore alternative methods of promoting and maintaining ethical and professional behaviour
Identify areas of risk and develop techniques for monitoring, evaluating and adjusting strategies as they are implemented;
Compare aspects of strategy and change management practice from across the world which can be directly applied or adjusted to suit local conditions
Develop practical strategies for initiating relevant and sustainable change to improve standards of integrity in the public service and private sector.
Programme aim
This workshop is designed for middle and senior managers in the public
and private sector, representatives from non-government organisations
(NGOs) and all those with responsibility for ensuring improved output
and customer focus in their organisations. It will be relevant for those
working at national, regional, local or organisational level.
The main aims of the workshops are:
To assist participants in developing practical strategies for
establishing, promoting and sustaining ethical change in their
organisation
To encourage a more pragmatic style of leadership and management
that encourages employees to work towards, rather than against the
desired organisational future.
