REGIONAL COURSE ON FINANCIAL PROGRAMMING AND POLICIES
This course is for Senior Staff
Aim of Course:
At the end of this programme participants should be able to:
-Be exposed to Financial Programming and enhance their proficiency;
- Understand the key analytical concepts and framework needed to design and implement macro-economic and financial policies in the context of financial programs.
Course Content:
• A brief review of macro-economic accounts used in economic analysis;
• Review of national accounts, balance of payments government finance statistics and monetary aggregates;
• Forecasting techniques for each sector and Inter-relationships;
• Need for institutional and policy coordination towards the attainment of overall economic policy goals;
• Technique of Financial programming
• Organisation and activities of IMF and its role in the International Monetary System.
Method of Studies:-
Lectures, Computer-based, syndicate exercise, group presentation and a case study.
